It will also make you laugh, snort and nod your head vigorously as you read it. I LOVE the book, "The Phantom of the Opera". I also love the Broadway musical, but it was Disney-fied and doesn't follow the book's darker tone at all in comparison. This "re-telling" follows the book and it is HYSTERICAL. It is pretty accurate from what I remember of the book. It's been a while since I read the original. Added to the TBR, a re-read. Though this book was pretty complete, so I don't think I am missing all that much from the original. Aside from the scenes with my book BF, Raoul's older brother. What happens to him is so sad and tragic! Sniff!Anywho, if you have read and enjoyed "The Phantom of the Opera" and have a sense of humor,

Humor. I laughed at a few parts. In all, there are only so many emoijis you can use, and this book used the same ones over and over again. I think the emoji they used most often was the poop. Really? Poop is that funny? Clearly, this book is not meant for me. Others may enjoy it.97 reviews2 followersDecember 13, 2023This was ridiculously silly and reminded me why I despised Raoul so much. I mean don't get me wrong...Erik wasn't a good choice either but he had a lot of trauma from his past dictate how he acted in the present...Raoul was just a pompous spoiled vicomte. Any who, this was a cute short way to get the "real" story of the Opera Ghost.2023-challenge ebook humor19 reviewsMarch 7, 2024The Phantom of the Opera novel but in text from. Several of my friends are OBSESSED with Phantom of the Opera. I know the story, I've heard the musical, and I STILL found this a confusing mess to follow along with. I usually love retellings, but this one tried to tell the story exactly, with every characters, with very few words, and a mix of emoji pictogram and text message. Emoji's for each character were given a name in the beginning, but never referred to by name again, only by picture, and as I read this on Adobe Editions, it made it very hard to follow as I couldn't flip
